The 2024 Relay Haul of Fame honors inspiring truck drivers and their contributions to the trucking industry. After an open nomination process, it’s your turn to vote!
You can vote daily for your top driver until July 31st. The five drivers with the most votes will be reviewed by a celebrity judging panel and two will be named our 2024 Haul of Fame winners.
The 15 drivers below were selected for their excellence in trucking. For many, trucking is life. Each individual has an inspiring story, exemplifying their commitment and passion to trucking as well as their willingness to go above and beyond.

Joe's an outstanding man who has suffered several setbacks but continues to drive and make the most out of life and provide happiness to those around him.
He is a huge car/race guy and loves his VW Beatle dragster. He is literally the most positive human I have ever met who makes life better for whoever comes into contact with him.
Cholonda is one of the most requested drivers for the facility she lives by. She has a positive outlook even if things are challenging. Cholonda cares for her daughter who has been hospitalized off & on for two years. Despite her home challenges she still comes to work with a professional attitude and gives the same care and love while she's working. She is respected and admired by those that work with her. She's a joy to be around.
Roger is a strong willed, caring man who will help anyone he sees that needs or asks for it. He is an advocate for the trucking industry, and especially advocates for drivers that have amputations after he lost his right arm in a boating accident in 2008. His disability has not stopped him from driving both shift gear and automatic trucks.
Bobby is extremely dedicated to his job and always goes above and beyond to make sure loads are delivered on time. No matter what time of day, he is always willing to help new hires or other drivers he sees on the road with anything they're struggling with. He constantly stops on the side of the road to help other drivers who are broken down.
Sydney miraculously survived a horrific accident earlier this year in which she almost lost her own life, dangling 100 feet over the Ohio River from the second bridge in Louisville, KY, for 40 minutes until fire and rescue saved her life. Not only did she survive, but she saved others' lives too. Only months later, she is back behind the wheel.
Kirk has worked his entire driving career for Johnsonville. He has accumulated more than 3.1 million miles of safe, accident free, injury free, and moving violation free driving. In addition to his safe driving Kirk has helped establish our fleet safety guidelines. He is also an active Mentor/Driver Trainer for our fleet.
He dedicated 10 years of driving over the road and sacrificed raising his 2 boys. He is a strong individual, giving up his family in order to support them. He has survived cancer twice but his disability has not stopped him from driving both shift gear and automatic trucks.
Kevin is the quintessential professional driver! He is safe, on time and always takes care of his equipment. He does everything right! Kevin is the type of driver where we wish we had 100 of him!
Deb is a consummate professional. Her and husband Del make our company shine with how they represent themselves, their truck, and our business. Deb is on the Women in Trucking Board and is a role model for little girls everywhere to show trucking isn't just a "man's job!". She has started running arms and explosives! I'd recommend her every day of the week and twice on Sunday!
This is his 2nd trucking business after his wife was injured during a military training accident. He sold his business to help care for her during recovery and while she finished school. During his time driving, he coached and trained others. Not once have I seen Fidel upset or bothered - because he loves driving. His goal when he migrated from Mexico was to not only live the ‘American dream’ but to join the trucking industry. Today, he's a military spouse, father of 4 and an owner operator.
Nic loves motorsports, and grew up rooting for Jeff Gordon and HMS. Nic is 26 and started driving trucks as his first job. He hasn't looked back since! He’s been dying to get out to a NASCAR race. Would mean a lot!
Michael has racked over 1.5 million miles with no accidents, earning him company driver of the year for past 7 years. He started his career as a driver with the Georgia Department of Transportation assisting with natural disaster clean up efforts.
Bruce has been twice nominated one of the safest drivers in America. He is a Landstar million-miler and RoadStar. Bruce is the type of person and driver that would help anyone and give them the shirt off his back.
He is a true truck enthusiast from working them, showing them and racing them. He puts other drivers and their well being before his own. He is fair and giving to those in need. David started trucking with our dad. He is an amazing mechanic and loves to build trucks as well as work them. He shows them, races them and does competitive pulling with them.
He has been a people person throughout his career. He always contributes a portion of his pay to feed various homeless people throughout the 48 states of travel. Dario always stops to help fellow drivers that are struggling in trucking by giving directions, instructions, and advice.
We’re sending two deserving truck drivers and their guest to Atlanta Motor Speedway to see William Byron drive the limited edition Relay #24 car on September 8, 2024.
Nominations close June 30, 2024. Public voting for the top 15 will take place July 1–31st. The judging panel will review the 5 finalists and select 2 winners, to be announced publicly on September 3.
