The second annual Relay Haul of Fame contest has kicked off, and the nominations are rolling in. With so many incredible stories of truck drivers who have inspired, supported, and motivated this community, we will spotlight some of the nominees each month leading up to the winners announcement in September.
Among the nearly 100 nominees so far are four outstanding female drivers, each with a compelling story. Whether they’re at the start of their driving careers or have spent decades in the industry, these women are making a real impact with their colleagues and customers.
Emma-Leigh Holley
In just her second year driving for TransAm, Emma-Leigh has already developed a reputation for her willingness to help both fellow truck drivers and her company. She was selected to participate in TransAm’s driver quality meeting to help them better understand the challenges drivers face on the road and the tools they need to succeed.
“Even though she’s only been in the trucking industry for a short while, Emma-Leigh has always gone above and beyond to help her fellow truck drivers and make sure deliveries get to their destination on time.”
Alexis Paul
A company driver with Atlas for the past six years, Alexis is known by colleagues and customers for her big personality and dedication to getting the job done. It’s no surprise this busy mom of three knows how to see things through to the end – a quality that made her an early nomination for this year’s award.
“Alexis is a big boss and hustler. She’s a genuine personality.”
Temeka Muse
Owner-operator at Temeric Transportation for the past ten years, Temeka has shown again and again what it means to be dedicated, both to her work and to the people she works with. She is known for her generosity, loyalty, and dedication, and regularly gives of herself and her time to help others however she can.
“Temeka is dedicated and always puts others first and their needs above her own. She is a hard, loyal worker who will always give her all.”
Liliya Zhdanova
Liliya started as owner-operator at Star Wholesale LLC in 2021 and has spent the past three years building a reputation for her professional, polite approach. She tries to go out of her way to help others whenever needed and makes sure deliveries get to their destination as promised.
“I’m a truck driver, and I love my job. I’m always up for helping others if they need my help!”
